J.
Waid Griffin has painted the mountains and deserts of the southwest
for over twenty years.
Waid
has received numerous awards for his paintings, most recently, the
"Outstanding Achievement Award," for the 2008 New Mexico
Master Works art show.

Waid
holds a BFA in Painting and has studied with Michael Lynch, Mark
Daily, and Kevin MacPherson. He also holds a Master of Music in
Theory and Composition, and in addition to his painting and teaching
of adult art classes and workshops, Waid also teaches music and
art to middle and high school students in the Albuquerque area.
Waid's
paintings are held in numerous public and private collections, including
permanent collections of McGraw-Hill Publishers, NY, NY; Hines Development
Corp., Aspen, CO; and the Albuquerque International Sunport.
