Waid teaches PAINTING THE LANDSCAPE classes, in four eight week sessions each year; one session each season. He has 50 years experience painting with oils and also experience using acrylic, watercolor, designer’s gouache, tempera, and casein pigments. Waid has taught plein air painting workshops on location, sponsored by the New Mexico Art League for 15 years. His experience using casein paints came from painting 45’x60′ stage sets for the Willis Ballet: Gaite Parisienne, Giselle, and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker among others. He designed and painted silk garments for Nicole Ltd. in Rio Rancho.
